Arfordir

The current collective trauma the world is facing has pushed people in many different directions. For some, internal storms have crashed against the mind's interiors, seeking people to seek escape. To places where noise is quieted and where new perspectives have room to flow. But, like the ocean, strong currents build, leaving no choice as the waves impact the shore.

As the pandemic took hold and the noise became too much to bear, I put on my shoes and headed to the fresh sea air.

Arfordir is a psychogeographic quest that took me across the South Wales coastline. The project is a visceral representation of my own psychological state along with others whom I encountered and the landscape as I saw it, revealing newfound perspectives.
